Learn to Read Music - 3 Things You MUST Know!
Here's a new video I did in my truck! Here are the 3 things you really need to know to learn how to read music fast and easy
The Staff is one of the very basics of learning to read music.
Western musicians have used our current system of musical notation for about four hundred years now. Its basic element is the staff, essentially a graph that shows pitch-height over time. The staff has five lines and four spaces, numbered from the bottom.
Notes which represent pitches are placed on both the lines and spaces of the staff. In the staff above, the second note sounds higher than the first one, and so on.

Is It Important to Learn to Read Music?
Do you think it's important to learn how to read music?
There's some debate now with video games (like on nintendo DS) teaching people how to read music and all about music notes, if it's really that important to learn any more or it's kind of an "outdated" musical skill.
I still think music theory and learning to read music is very important. I know that you'll always be a limited musician until you know how to read music, because it happened to me.
What about you? Email me and let me know!
